Research with Cancer Action Councils (CACs)
- Mark Manning, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Oncology, Wayne State University School of Medicine, is working with multiple CACs to develop digital strategies to collect and maintain family health histories, including ones’ family history of cancer.
- Hadeel Assad, M.D., Assistant Professor of Oncology, Wayne State University School of Medicine, is working with multiple CACs to understand medical decision making among women who test positive for a BRCA mutation.
- Theresa Hastert, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Oncology, Wayne State University School of Medicine, is working with the ACCESS CAC to better understand challenges in paying for cancer treatment among Arab and immigrant patients and develop an intervention support these patients.
- Hayley Thompson, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Oncology, Wayne State University School of Medicine, is working with the Conner Creek CAC to adapt an exisitng intervention to improve quality of life among cancer survivors and their caregivers.
